The immune system is often compromised in children with autism and other developmental issues.  The immune system is complex and relies on digestive health, nutrient status and inflammation regulation.  Children who experience frequent infections, especially ear infections, need to have their immune system evaluated to repair impairments.

Under the biomedical treatment section of www.treatautism.ca you can find more information on digestion, yeast and other microbes and nutrients like antioxidants.  All of these topics are important in understanding how immune function relates to autism, AD/HD, learning disabilities and other developmental disorders.
